Dan Marino

Widely regarded as one of the most accomplished NFL players in the history of the league, Dan Marino held sway as the quarterback of the Miami Dolphins for 17 years (1983-2000). On the field, Marino racked up a litany of accomplishments, including (though not limited to): the greatest number of yards, touchdowns, and completions achieved over the course of one season; five back-to-back Pro Bowl nominations; and the NFL Man of the Year Award. Following Marino's retirement from the NFL in 2000, he moved into work as a television pundit, hosting such football-themed programs as HBO's Inside the NFL and CBS's The NFL Today. Both during and after his career as an NFL mainstay, Marino also made cameo appearances as himself in a number of Hollywood features, including Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) and Bad Boys II (2003). ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
