Gilbert Gottfried

Wire-haired, hyper comic cum character player of film and TV whose high-pitched, antically shrill voice was used effectively for several animated features, most notably in the role of Iago the evil parrot in the Disney hit "Aladdin" and it's spin-off series. Gottfried began his career performing stand-up in his native NY before joining the cast of "Saturday Night Live" (1980-81) for one season. He has since gone on to appear in a number of features and TV specials, usually in obnoxious or irritating roles. Films include: "Problem Child" (1990), as a haggard adoption agent, "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" (1990), as a D.J. friend of the title character, and "The Return of Jafar" (1994).
