Harold Young


Oregon-born director Harold Young began as an editor in the early '20s, and became the supervising editor of Paramount Pictures' European productions, before going to work for Alexander Korda in the early '30s. He began his directorial career splendidly, with the costume drama The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934), with Leslie Howard, for Korda, but after returning to America he found only routine...
