Kirk Cameron

This curly-haired, boyishly handsome teen and young adult lead achieved heartthrob status as the usually wisecracking, sometimes sneaky and often slightly smug Mike Seaver on the popular ABC domestic sitcom "Growing Pains" (1985-92). To his credit, Cameron displayed a nice flair for comedy and managed to keep his character from becoming either too whiny or too annoying. He played his first major film role in the mildly received identity-switch comedy, "Like Father, Like Son" (1987) opposite Dudley Moore, and followed up with "Listen to Me" (1989) and "The Willies" (1990). In 1995, he returned to series television headlining his own sitcom, "Kirk", on the fledgling network The WB. In 1991, he married model-turned-actress Chelsea Noble.
