William Severn

Child actor William "Billy" Severn began his short screen career at the age of four. He was prominently featured in the 1942 Margaret O'Brien vehicle Journey for Margaret, then played minor roles in such films as Eagle Squadron (1943) and Son of Lassie (1944). Evidently Hollywood was not to his liking, for he "retired" before his tenth birthday. William Severn was the brother of another movie juvenile, Clifford Severn. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
