Sheree J. Wilson

A wholesome blonde lead, Sheree J Wilson is best known for playing Texans, first as the power-hungry April Stevens on CBS' long-running "Dallas" (from 1986 to 1991) and more recently as the tough, strong-willed D.A. Alex Cahill opposite Chuck Norris on "Walker, Texas Ranger" (CBS, 1993-2001). Born in Minnesota and raised in Colorado, she began her career as a local model in Denver before heading to NYC where she became an instant success in TV commercials, acting in more than 30 in an 18-month period. Wilson was so successful that so feared she'd be typecast as a 60-second player. Instead, she began to win small parts in films ("Tootsie" 1982; "Fraternity Vacation" 1985) and TV ("Cover Up", CBS 1984). Wilson had her first real opportunities with the miniseries "Kane and Abel" (CBS, 1985), and, especially, the ABC series "Our Family Honor" (1985). In the latter, she played Rita Danzig, a mobster's anxious wife. Her big break, however, came when she joined the cast of "Dallas" as the scheming bad girl who eventually married Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy).

After her character's demise, Wilson took time out to give birth to her first child. When she decided to resume her career, she met with CBS about the possibility of playing an assistant D.A. on another series set in Texas. Wilson made an audition tape and then headed to Israel to film the female lead opposite Chuck Norris in the feature "Hellbound" (1993). One morning during the film shoot, Norris came to Wilson's dressing room. The actor explained that he had agreed to star in a CBS series and the network had sent him a tape of a potential leading lady--none other than hers. Wilson nailed the role as the legal eagle who was also the sometime girlfriend of Norris' "Walker, Texas Ranger".
