Noel Langley


A successful Broadway playwright, Langley began writing for films in the late '30s, most notably on the musicals Maytime and The Wizard of Oz. After World War Two he entered the British film industry, working on such memorable films as Trio, Scrooge (aka A Christmas Carol), Tom Brown's Schooldays, and Richard Thorpe's swashbucklers Ivanhoe and The Prisoner of Zenda.
