Attractive dark-haired former model who appeared in "The Black Orchid" (1959), "From the Terrace" (1960) and "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (1965). Balin may be best remembered for starring as herself in the autobiographical TV movie "The Children of An Lac" (1980), about her dramatic rescue efforts to help 217 Vietnamese orphans flee Saigon as it fell in 1975, followed by her adoption, as a single mother, of three girls from An Lac. Also an art dealer (in the early 1960s) and a published photographer.
