Bulle Ogier

Distinguished blonde performer who began her career in experimental theater and made her screen debut in Jacques Rivette's mammoth, engrossing "L'Amour fou" (1968). Ogier has since played the schizophrenic heroine of Alain Tanner's "La Salamandre" (1971), one of the wandering dinner guests in Bunuel's "Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" (1972) and the whip-toting sadist in Barbet Schroeder's "Maitresse" (1976).

Ogier has appeared in most of Rivette's films, including "Le Pont du nord" (1981), opposite her sister, the late actress Pascale Ogier.
