Michael Blankfort

American screenwriter, novelist, playwright Michael Blankfort first worked as a college professor at Bowdoin, Princeton and then as a psychologist at the state prison in New Jersey. In 1933, he left that job and began writing, directing and producing Broadway plays; he later became a prolific writer of short stories and novels--some of those novels were adapted into films.
