Gena Rowlands

An elegantly beautiful and talented star of stage, screen and TV, Gena Rowlands began her career on Broadway in the early 1950s as understudy for and later acting the role of The Girl (the part memorably essayed by Marilyn Monroe on film) in the comedy "The Seven Year Itch". She went on to appear opposite Edward G. Robinson in "The Middle of the Night" (1956-57) before Hollywood beckoned.
