Belgian filmmaker Jean-Claude Tramont was only able to make a few films before succumbing to cancer on December 27, 1996. He started out writing the script for the Elizabeth Taylor/Henry Fonda vehicle Ash Wednesday (1973). He directed his first film, Le Point de Mire four years later.
