Antonio Aguilar

Antonio Aguilar was a major Mexican #92;musical personality and #92;action star of the 1950s and 1960s. His prowess at both singing and fisticuffs also enabled him to be compared favorably with several of Hollywood's top #92;Western personalities. In films from 1952, Aguilar occasionally made appearances in American films with Mexican backgrounds. One of his most memorable English-language film roles was the antagonistic General Rojos in the sprawling, brawling John Wayne/Rock Hudson vehicle The Undefeated (1969). Aguilar died of pneumonia after a battle with heart disease at age 88. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
