This petite leading French female star of the 1930s came to prominence with two delightful Rene Clair films, "Le Million" (1931) and "Quatorze Juillet" (1933). After three British productions, including the Technicolor "Wings of the Morning" (1937), Annabella went to Hollywood, where she appeared in mostly undistinguished 20th Century-Fox films for a decade.
