If you enjoy action flicks where all of the bad guys are killed, all of the traitors are exposed, all of the good guys live and everything wraps up nice and neat in the end, then Contraband is the movie for you. A very typical mainstream Hollywood storyline that is completely predictable. Watching a scene where everyone is killed by automatic weapons while two of the "good guy" characters emerge unscathed is beyond ridiculous.

It's movies like Contraband that will keep me away from The Grey (where a man punches wolves) and Man On A Ledge (more implausible nonsense).

After seeing Wahlberg in The Fighter, Contraband just doesn't cut it.

At least not for me.

    I love the movie. Guess we all have our own opinion but the actors did a great job.

    really stupid movie...jumping from one daredevil thing to another...bang bang...all the bullets missed me...what luck - what s---....1/2 star is too much.

      Really???? If it is expected for the star of the movie to get shot and die in every shoot out, we wouldn't have movies.

    So...you would NOT fast forward through lots of it...isn't that a good thing haha..based on this poorly written review, I would not trust this persons judgment (they don't even know how to use spell check). Just saying...

    The actors were fabulous but the story stunkkkkkkk. The film was dark, even action packed but it's hard to get over all of the nasty language just trying to hear the dialogue. When will the writers unstand that we are not stupid and can understand the english language, I almost walked out on this movie twice. The only thing that you walk away with is that your best friend is not your best friend and you can never trust anyone EVER. Walburg is a champion in it but
    I'd rather watch my copy of the "shooter." Don't waste your time and money.

    No, no, and yes. I like Wahlberg; he's good as ever in this flic. BUT everything is soooo predictable and characters weak around him in the plot, and delivered in chunks almost too big to swallow. And then - yikes- plot bits are left out where the credibility is supposed to prove itself - eg., how he gets a ton of contraband into the river at the end. Huh?!? Did I miss something? Summary: NOT.
    This experience was a big let-down. Better luck next time, Marky.

      The review was just a spoof of action-adventure, I deplore real violence, have never owned a weapon, and am actually am a democrat. This movie was boring, slow, and there was noone to root for other than Marky Mark. After I wrote it, I could see someone might take offence, and I am sorry you did. My apologies, but it was the top rated review. Just saw Joyful Noise, now there are some likeable actoes in this, it'got some good melody too.
