Connie and Carla(2004)- User Reviews

I almost didn't go to see this film because of the poor reviews...but I am so glad I decided to risk my eight dollars. I really got a kick out of this movie. I had no idea there would be all the Broadway songs in it and so I really enjoyed all the music and even though the plot was silly and reminiscent of that old Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon film "Some Like it Hot" I really laughed alot and swayed to the music. The costumes were over the top but fun and I actually liked a lot of the characters which is very rare in recent movies for me. It isn't a movie I would purchase and want to watch again and again ( not all movies can be Casablanca, afterall)...but compared to many movies I have seen in the past couple of years I actually ENJOYED it...and for me that is high praise.
