First, I'm a big fan of Conan. I bought a ticket and watched his comedy tour shortly after he was let go at NBC. The problem with this documentary is:
*Dialogue between interviewer and Conan is lame, unremarkable. Questions are weak, and Conan's responses, while earnest, are neither funny nor that illuminating.
*A lot of tedious scenes about going to different towns, his entourage walking around.
*Worst- if you've attended Conan's comedy tour, you will be bored half the time, because they excerpt scenes from the tour, like his singing performances.
I was hoping the documentary would show a side of Conan I hadn't seen before: a secretly competitive person, or perhaps a melancholy/poetic type. But he is what he claims to be - a genuine, decent, talented performer. There doesn't seem any other angle to cover.
