You should really go see this movie. Forget what the dumbass critics say. They are stupid and they can't tell what a good movie is. Along with the powerful performances comes a good sharp script and great visuals. Cold Creek Manor is definetley a thriller you should consider watching. The story here sometimes falls into the normal cliches of a thriller, but it still held my interest throughout the whole movie. Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone both give excellent performances, though not the best of their career. Dennis Quaid plays Cooper Tilson, a documentary maker. He starts making a documentary about the old mansion and he starts to discover creepy things as he is doing so. Sharn Stone plays his wife, Leah Tilson. Her character has to deal with the fact that her husband does think that the previous owner of the house did all this bad stuff. She thinks that her husband is lying. As creepy as Stephen Dorff's character was, I thought that he came off a bit too strong and corny sometimes. Mike Figgis does a superb job od directing and puts a lot of focus and depth into his scenes. The visuals were almost to perfection, but somehow faltered. Despite that, this is a clever thriller that I had a joy watching. I give it 4 stars out of 4 and thumbs up.
