Synopsis

A dramatization of the life of iconic country music singer Loretta Lynn. Born in Butcher's Holler, Kentucky, Lynn grew up desperately poor, and was married to Dolittle "Mooney" Lynn when she was just thirteen. By the time she was twenty, she had four children, and was singing on weekends at local honky-tonks. With her husband as her manager, Lynn became a recording artist at age twenty-five, and eventually a huge star. Her climb to fame and all that came with it are chronicled in the film.
