The film all other films made after its release have imitated in story, acting and cinematography. It gave the public a completely different experience in watching movies.

Ok. I admit that the order of my favorite movies is sentimentally skewed. This is the greatest American movie ever. Originally I was accepting of the nickname of the sled, but finding out what 'Rosebud' actually was code for in the world of William Randolph Hearst... Welles was probably lucky he wasn't killed, literally.
