although many critics did not like the film, I found it quite entertaining. The acting was very good, the plot was very believable. of course it's bloody, its a movie based on the horrors of war. a little predictable at times but overall, if you leave your critic hat at home and just watch the movie for the sake of watching it, it was a solid film. something that I would recommend to others, especially my guy friends. would it have done better in america with American actor, maybe but its a very british film based somewhat on historical facts with deep british history and they made it their own. for me 4 stars!!!!!
