This is a disturbing and painful documentary which tells a story which is unfortunately not new in America. In many respects, these young men have fared better than others who have faced this American justice system. How can juveniles be treated this way? As sad and horrible as this tale is, the documentary is uplifting in that it gives these men a chance to tell their story. It is testament to their perseverance in maintaining their innocence and to their struggle to go forward with life. The downside in this film and many others, is the failure to more deeply explore the nature of the careers built and the self serving nature of politicians, prosecutors and the police. They always seem to go on career building while stepping on the lives of those who frequently have the fewest resources of all kinds to defend themselves.
