Catch Me If You Can(2002)- User Reviews

A wonderfully grand film.

Catch Me If You Can exceeds any expectations. What may look like a mediocre Oscar worthy picture turns out it's own creation of magic and fun. What makes this movie different than other dramas, is that it puts a new design to the genre and makes it very fun and entertaining while still being emotionally touching and sad, and sweet. This is a big mix of emotions and they never get tangled all the way through its 141 minutes.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays young and young adult in his character. This is one of his greatest performances. Yet, he still ties in greatness with The Departed, Blood Diamond, Gangs of New York, and Titanic. Tom Hanks plays the cat. He is a riot and righteously entertaining. Christopher Walken stepped up and showed what he can do. Don't judge him just from Click.

Steven Spielberg needs to start coming back to directing cause I miss him and I know a lot of other people do. 5 years ago came War of the Worlds and Munich. Both Oscar nominated films and then he just cuts to producing and television. And producing television. He was overlooked with Indiana Jones 4. But I'm talking about coming back to movies like Schinlder's List, Saving Private Ryan, and this. He is the world's greatest director's and he showed some of his best work in this. He definitely ranks up with James Cameron and Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.

All and all, Catch Me If You Can is gracefully entertaining, beautifully shot, perfectly funny, and just the perfect Christmas treat. Simply one of the top of 2002.
