Okay, in the first 3/4ths of the movie,I was honestly trying to find the plot. Yes it turned up...eventually. Obviously they were hoping to make a maze of a mystery that would wrap itself up very neatly at the end.
It didn't.
It was simply the story of a man using gambling for blood money and paying his debt to loaners. Bond was trying to stop the first one.
Yay.
He succeeded.
But see, in these kind of movies, where the audiences all know that the heroin is going to live and most importantly succeed, you need to do something remarkable.
Quite ordinary, and for this genre, that will never go far.

Why is Bond's charm fatal?
Every woman he dated ended up dead.
