Cars 2(2011)- User Reviews

This past weekend I watched the inspiring film Cars 2 with my younger brother. As a whole I felt the movie was extremely good and that it deserves multiple film awards. Pixar did a brilliant job with the animation, much better than the first Cars movie in my opinion. The greatest part of the animation was Pixar’s advanced attention to detail in the graphics while continuing to keep the simple design of the cars. The plot of the movie was also very intriguing due to director John Lasseter’s ability to combine scenes of humor, action and life lessons all together. I felt the use of Mater and his intricate personality was brilliant. At the beginning of the movie Mater appears to be that helpless friend just tagging along for the ride, but as movie continued I began to see him as so much more. His innocent identity allows for him to see past all the distractions in life and only focus on the things that matter, having fun and doing it with close friends. Towards the end of the movie Mater’s personality begins to rub off onto the professionals that he is working with, Lightning McQueen and Finn McMissile. Using the wisdom they have received from Mater both McQueen and McMissile are able to succeed in their missions, showing us that no matter where we are in life if we are having fun and doing it with our friends we will be successful. Overall I felt that the movie was very brilliant. Even though it was directed to a younger audience some of the lessons could be taught to everyone.
