OK I do not understand all the rave reviews for this film. I mean I will give credit where credit is due, Philip Seymour Hoffman was fantastic in the film. His performance is worthy of an Oscar but it was hard for me to enjoy considering how utterly …more»5 of 11 people found this review helpful-

I can't believe anyone liked such a drab and uninspired film. It could have been more interesting if the movie was actually about Capote and how he was a weird depressed author who eventually died from alcoholism, but all it was about was the time …more»5 of 7 people found this review helpful-

I haven't walked out of a movie in a very long time, but I make certain exceptions for exceptionally BAD movies! (I almost made it to the end but my friend was falling asleep in the seat next to me, so we decided to leave) This was one of the worst …more»17 of 38 people found this review helpful-

And you will be rewarded watching the whole show through and through.
Things got quite slow at the begining, but as the story goes by, kinda warm up quite a bit, especially the part when Capote was fighting within himself if he should side the murderer.

Simply amazing and moving and haunting. I walked from 23rd street home in a quiet state of contemplation having been moved in so many ways by this film. Capote contains not only a virtuoso performance by one of our greatest living actors, Phillip Seymour …more»4 of 5 people found this review helpful-

Capote, is a very well crafted, sinister and intriguing film, carried almost single handedly carried on the shoulders of Philip Seymour Hoffman in his brilliant portrayal of eccentric writer Truman Capote as he stumbles on and researches his ground-breaking …more»2 of 2 people found this review helpful
