I went to see this because I had free passes. If not, I would still have gone to see it at one of the second run theaters or gotten it at Red Box. If you like films made from graphic novels, and I do, you should enjoy it. If you're looking for something thought provoking with intellectual dialog, keep going. The acting is stilted, the violence is gratuitous, the plot is meaningless and the story as a whole is unbelievable. But if you can suspend reality for a bit and realize you're just watching a live action comic book, it's not a bad way to spend 90 minutes. It is kind of sad though, to see how Stallone has aged, and not in a graceful way.
