Broken City(2013)- User Reviews

Sometimes there are movies that look rather cheesy in the previews, but turn out to be terrific (Side Effects). Then there are movies like this one, that look promising in the previews but don't cut it throughout the film. A bad attempt at film noir, Broken City comes off more like a graphic novel...but without the visual impact. The script is low grade, the performances are phoned in, and it is an altogether forgettable movie. That said, at 1hr 45min I never lost interest in the story. Not for a second. It certainly wasn't a good movie, but it did hold my interest.
