OK. We got good word of mouth for this "movie", so my wife finally convinced me to see it. After this carnage of flick was done, she apologized to me, so it is not a male-female thing. Little did we know, that the funniest part of the night was one of the trailers for an upcoming movie.
2+ hours for a comedy movie that was neither a movie nor a comedy. It was a SNL sketch that was painfully elongated. You can distill the, what passes for a movie nowadays, into two funny, well smiley, scenes. The lunch/wedding dress scene and the airplane ride scene. That's it.
If it hadn't been for Melissa McCarthy, late of the Gilmore Girls, the movie would have been a complete Irwin Allen disaster.
I hated it. My wife hated it. The two couples in front of us hated it. I know this, because I actually said, "this movie was brutally bad", and they turned around and agreed, and the poor woman who dragged her boyfriend to it asked, "who likes this"? You got me. It must be part of the dumbing down of America.
Three couples all had the same observation. We were all waiting for the movie to "kick in" on the plane ride for the bachelorette party... NOPE.
Save your money and get your ass de-haired with duct tape (for those who saw the movie, you got the joke).
Good riddance, good bye, and good luck getting money from us again from that writing crew.
