I really liked this movie for the most part. It was difficult to follow at times and I found that the dialogue and plot scheme were much more mature than anything that could be successfully applied to high school aged kids.
I do believe that the lead …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

As captivating entertainment Brick was excellent. As insightful exploration of the darker side of high school - I hope not.
I'm sure my high school had it's darker side and it involved drugs, sex and people using people, but I tried to live …more»3 of 4 people found this review helpful-

The suburbia-ripped-from-reality was much better in _Blue_Velvet_ - a much more believable and entertaining film directed by David Lynch with Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini and Dennis Hopper.
In _Brick_, maybe it's the fault of the director, …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Brick may have been great as a highschool student's first short, but as it is, this movie is a painful experience. Featuring Bugsy Malone meets Dawson's Creek dialogues, more cliches than your classic boy-meets-girl movie, and an annoyingly amature …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Few movies define a new style. Pulp Fiction and Casa Blanca come to mind. See Brick and get with the times.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

The debut film from director Rion Johnson shows so much promise, the last person to show anything remotely close to this much promise was Troy Duffy with Boondock Saints, and as much as I love Boondock this movie blows it out by a mile plus some. It …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
