Brave(2012)- User Reviews

I NEVER write reviews for movies, but I was so irritated by all the parents saying this movie is bad I just had to write one.
Parents saying this is a movie against mothers, bad message, violent, witch-craft, etc...NOT TRUE.
Saw the movie tonight, it is excellent. Visually stunning, humorous [adult humor included so parents can enjoy it too], a good lesson, and just really fun!

This movie is no different than any of the other pixar/disney movies; [those who say the action scenes with the bears are scary for kids? Well think about Beauty and the Beast, when the Beast fights the wolves, it is very similar. May scare very young children but not ones 5+
]
Moms saying this is a movie that will make a child want to defy their parents? Ridiculous...the daughter in this movie who gets in a fight with her mother realizes she was in the wrong and tries to fix it and feels bad about it, how is that a bad message???

I think parents read too much into everything, take it for what it is: its a fantasy movie about a mother and daughter with different viewpoints, who learn through trial and error to reconcile their differences and love each other.

I really enjoyed everything about it and thought it was well done :)
