This tripe of visual effects was a sorely disappointing eye candy store with little development and single dimension characters. The brass protagonist Mirida starts off with a deviant stand against tradition with the same ringing tone of Jasmin's (Alladin) "stand and fight parental rule". Strange blue color magic rears its ugly head and the conflict begins.
If anything the kids will enjoy a simple story and fantastic optical stimulation, but if you are looking for the adventure and development of characters as in "Nemo" or "Toy Story" you will be left wanting. It seems that the all knowing Pixar Disney has missed its mark in this one by focusing on computer effects, and pithy jokes but neglecting their bread and butter that brought them classics, story and character development.
I reiterate that the babies will like it, but at least it gives the parents a time to take a much needed nap.
