Brave is a wonderful story that inspires women to be proud of whom they are and follow heart. She wasn't ready to be married and she also wanted to fall in love with someone of her choice not to have a king chosen for her. I loved that there were lessons about the importance of family and to listen to each other. The movie was very funny and heartwarming. The scenery and animation were sensational and gorgeous!
AND as a natural redhead myself, I can't leave this review without praising the attention given to her hair and that it's great that redheads finally have a Disney princess to look up to! I've been waiting for this strong princess character ever since I was little girl watching most of the Disney princesses get swept away and rescued by a prince. I hope there are more Brave movies to come with Merida!
