I mean---"Brain Donors"?!?What does THAT have to do with ANYTHING in this movie?!?It isn't even an improvement on "Lame Ducks",the original title!
It's a pity,because this sort-of remake of the Marx Brothers' "A Night At The Opera" is funny---John Turturro,just a year or so away from dozens of critically acclaimed dramatic parts,is in full fast-talking Groucho mode.Mel Smith is no Chico,but he easily holds up his own.While choosing not to emulate Harpo's trademark muteness,Bob Nelson spends the whole film pulling a seemingly unending supply of props from about his person---one can easily anticipate the results when,while in a police station,he is asked to "empty his pockets"!
