I highly enjoyed the Bourne trilogy, but didn't have expectations for this one. I was wrong. The tension and suspense, the well-developed and well-paced script, the acting, the twists and turns, the sinister portrayal of the government--all of the ingredients worked together to produce a fantastic film with a superb cast. I was wondering in parts whether this might actually have been a better Bourne than the other three, and Renner gives Damon a run for his money. It must have been very difficult to maintain this quality for a spin-off, but they managed it. The only weakness I thought was the ending, which felt a little rushed, with a bad guy introduced just for the final chase scene (though it worked well to have Aaron chased by police and the bad guy) and then killed off. The scene where they try to bump off the doctor by a faked suicide was the highlight.
