This a Frankenstein story retold. They can make artificial people that are indistinguishable from real people. When that technology is available they will use it to enhance the real people. Why does this technology always have to be bad for humans. I liked "Bi-Centennial Man" because it showed the progression from a mechanical being to a biomechanical being. Same idea as in "Blade Runner" but not as depressing. The year is 2019 but there are no home computers or cell phones. It's hard to predict the future, but whatever it will be it won't be this. I found this movie to be boring, and it is flat. I saw it years ago when it first came out,and seeing it multiple times has not improved it.
