About half way through, it seemed like I'd seen this movie before. It bears an uncanny resemblance to the 1992 Richard Gere mystery "Final Analysis," although it is not credited as a remake. Both films take unexpected twists and turns. If you didn't see the 1992 version then this one packs some good surprises. Jude Law is very good as a doctor caught in a web of intrigue. Rest of the cast is fine, although nothing challenging here.Yes, the drug industry gets a black eye here but that's a bit of a red herring. It's not as fast a pace as the earlier film, which was pure entertainment and glamour, but I liked it. Considering the lack of good films this time of year I'm grateful for something that is at least interesting.
