If you want to see a feel good movie, then this is the one. It is more than just about saving the whales, its about motive, power of the press, concern, care, greed and manipulation. It shows how we get caught up into an idea or story. It shows how when we have a common concern, we can put our differences aside long enough to correct a wrong. I love that it included the native people and their struggle between old ways and new. I loved how the whole world got caught up into this story and how so many came together, even enemies to correct the plight of the whales. The acting was great - Drew Barrymore and the other cast did a great believable job. The video footage of Alaska was good and their were moments of laughter. Yes, I quite enjoyed not seeing blood, guts and scifi for a change.
