This is a first-rate film with excellent performances. I've read the other reviews, and for the life of me, I don't know what movie some of them were watching because it couldn't have been this one. Christopher Plummer was outstanding and brought joy to his role despite dealing with a terminal illness. What can I say about Ewan MacGregor? I've loved everything I've seen him in. I found this movie funny and heartwarming. I also loved the dog! This is an adult film, so if you're looking for special effects or slapstick comedy, you won't enjoy it. If you like thought-provoking films, you will probably love Beginners.
