I only gave one star because Jeremy Irons and Emma Thompson were amazing and I likes Alden.. OIther then that

In November I saw the trailer and couldn’t wait to read the books before the movie came out. What a letdown. I sat there thinking they would get on track somehow but cutting out people from the book and then combining two important people I don’t see how they can make this a franchise with how bad they murdered this first film.

I knew in the opening when he was running and found the shinnny object the movie was not going to be anywhere what I expected it to be.

I loved Alden Ehrenreich and can’t wait to see more of him he was Ethan to me. However that was not my version of Lena I would have rather seen Vanessa Marano in that role and Emma is my girl but why not just make her blond and stick a sucker in her mouth would that have been so hard? but I am not a casting agent so it doesn’t matter what I think.

Then ending was bad not just bad it was “what are you thinking” bad like watching a train wreck but you can’t turn away bad. The movie was a let down on so many levels.
