Be Here to Love Me: A Film About Townes Van Zandt(2005)- User Reviews

I had only heard mention of Townes Van Zandt by a fellow songwriter who passed away a couple years ago. When I read about this film coming up I learned a bit about his writing. I saw the film with another budding songwriter friend, and he loved the film, though he had never heard of TVZ. The flow of the film, though not linear chronologically, had a perfect emotional arc. The transition from family interviews to musician interviews was seamless, which was impressive considering the caliber of musicians interviewed for the film, and says a lot for the director.
