Not bad, anarchist activity was misrepresnted

Over all, I thought it was a pretty entertaining and emotive film, but, as usual with any mainstream media, the actions of 'anarchists' in the movie we're not quite accurate. Though i don't feel it was necessarily trying to be harmful, it completely failed to show the richness and true intentions behind what happened. The only real scene was when windows were being spray painted and smashed in, and when confronted about it, the 'anarchist' simply replies "this is not violent, no one is getting hurt". Unfortunately, that barely scratches the surface of understanding the motives of what went on, as well as portraying them as simple, aggressive people who only want to destroy property. In addition, the truth, according to the PERSON WHO ORGANIZED THE ACTUAL PROTEST, is that the destruction of property began by a police officer smashing a window, creating a chain reaction. I don't necessarily view the portrayal of anarchists to be incorrect, only incomplete. I do realize that this was not the point of the movie, but i do believe it would have helped bring added dimension to both the main characters and the environment.

Finally, for those who do view property damage as 'violence', what do you think about the Boston Tea Party?
