Good, But You Need to Watch It Very Closely

Avoid watching this late at night. There will be parts of the movie that may not make sense to you. But overall, this is a decent firefighter movie with good special effects and a good plot. There's nothing extremely memorable about it at this point, but it's a good watch, and that's all that matters.

Back in 1991, these visuals were remarkable, which is why they made such a big deal about it, and have the controlled-fire-set at Universal Studios. Other than that, everything is just good. It's basically backing the life of a guy who's dad was a firefighter and he watched his father die in a fire. Then both him and his brother became firefighters too, but this main character is not dedicated to it, and keeps quitting the force over and over again, while his brother is very serious about his job and is basically the bad boy of the bunch.

So the plot starts when there are these arsens that seem to be appearing, backdrafts that are set up to kill people. As Robert De Niro starts investigating it, things get interesting, and relatiionships get complicated and strained.

That's what I'll leave it at. Acting was good, but not extraordinary. The story was good, and the direction I can't really find a fault with. Just good!
