I'm not much on Art Films. They have their place, normally on a dusty shelf so that folks you wouldn't like anyway can make you fell small at a cocktail party because you haven't seen the film. Rowan Atkinson did a terrific spoof on this type of movie in, "Mr. Bean's Vacation." But, I digress.
I watched "Babette's Feast" on a dare from my insurance agent. I hae to say that it was one of the most entertaining movies I've seen. There is no action, of course, but the way that Babette relates to her hostesses is beautiful. I think that what I like best is how she makes a sacrafice to people who cannot even appreciate it and the effect it has on them. See it.
