Interesting bio of a troubled man

Greg Kinnear gives the best performance of his career as the late Bob Crane, star of television's Hogan's Heroes.Crane was murdered in his sleep, his killer never caught.Though the filmmakers never tell us who the killer was,it is implied. The movie paints a portrait of Crane, showing us who he was,how he started off in the radio business and his eventual downfall due to an addiction to sex and voyeurism.By all accounts and through his own narration,Kinnear (Crane from beyond the grave)tellsus how he was a charming and likable guy with a good marriage. He never drank and went to church regularly. All of that changes when he meets a swinging (bi-sexual) audio visual expert played well by a creepy Willem Dafoe.Dafoe opens a door in Crane's mind that ultimately cannot be shut.Overall, tragic and pathetically sad with a few very moving scenes depicted during Crane's downslide.A mesmerizing film and a credit to the amazing work of Kinnear-who bears an uncanny resemblence to Bob Crane. Several Hogan's moments are ingeniously recreated.
