How depressing. A love story that never happened. It started and never got a chance because of a wrong accusation which sends the male lover to prison and then to war.
The frustrating part was that it seemed like the movie used the war as filler to extend the movie out two hours.
I'd say the first half an hour or so are interesting, and then the last 10 minutes when the writer is older, and brings it all to a frustrating conclusion.
Not what I expected, and left me frustrated and depressed.
