However, it was a superb exercise in filmmaking. The only problem is how depressing the story is. I had hoped that there would be some redemption for our characters by the end, but that was dashed with the seemingly out of place monologue at the finale. Overall, it could have been better, but could have also been much much worse. I couldn't say memorable because the only character name I remember 12 hours later is Cecilia. At least this film didn't win out over No Country For Old Men for best picture.
