With such a sad ending....who could love this kind of movie!! But, Atonement got the power to take its "lovers" to an ultimate height in this movie...watching this movie - it makes one feel loved,anger,deep-emotions & after that it stuck in the mind for weeks....
I read many others' negative critics about thiw movie too,but just that just couldn't change my mind about how deeply I felt about this movie. Especially, James McAvoy playing Robbie....good God, I think no one else could do this any better. He is great & just seeing his face, it melts heart. The few scenes that when he sat right next to Keira(Cee), even just the look, it so poignant, yet it's intense & passionate without words...he was ashamed by the accusation, nevertheless the love he had for Cecilia was forbidden & tried not to express it... James McAvoy's acting skills has been marvelous & can take especially women to the edge of falling for him!
