As often I am, I was misled by the previews for this film. One of the lines I heard was that the chemistry between Kiera Knightley and James McAvoy was white hot and that it was comparative to the romanticism of Titanic. I do not personally feel that it was even close. To put it bluntly when the end credits rolled I thought I had been tricked into going to see this film. I came home and see that alot of the users are giving it an A. I love movies and books but I would definitely not give this film an A. Maybe I wouldn't have been as disappointed after seeing this film if I hadn't been expecting an A+ movie. I don't ever write reviews but wanted to put this one out there in case anyone else like me was thinking about seeing the movie. The first hour or so reminded me a little of the book the Great Gatsby in some ways and I thought the story could still be good. I kept waiting for it to come together but it didn't ever come together for me. The acting was definitely good. The visuals were good. But as a user who saw the previews and was expecting a romantic love story....I just didn't feel like I got what I was expecting at all. Hope this helps someone :)
