Unbelievable.
Usually, I dislike movies with unhappy endings, but Atonement has become the first exception. I've never seen a film so beautiful. Joe Wright, the phenomenal director, is just starting out his career, yet I believe this will be his greatest …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I sat staring at the screen as the credit rolled relecting on the final message of the film and I was unbelievably moved. I am surprised at the others who are expressing such support for this film--generally Americans do no like movies that are too realistic. …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

There are many aspects of "Atonement" that I found disappointing. Going in, I thought the film was going to be a glossy, but predictable story. I figured it was boy and girl fall in love, get torn apart through a misunderstanding, suffer through …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Atonement is beautiful and well-made. I expected it to be an extremely boring movie like Pride And Prejudice, but I was severely compelled. The ending, is an extreme tearjerker. I love romances and this is one of the best I have seen since Titanic!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

The acting was perfect and the story line was well written. I just didn't like how quick the movie finished. Over all I'd say it's almost perfect.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

If I had to make a list of the Top Ten movies that I have seen, Atonement would definitely be on the list. The acting, the presentation, and the heartbreaking storyline will make Atonement a classic in the years to come.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I wanted to see this movie because I saw "Pride and Prejudice" and thought it would be a good movie. However, the way the story was told it was a little hard to follow where we were in the storyline. It was also hard to figure out if what …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
